Set monthly usage limits

Before you start

• Costs are estimated at list prices for API key connections only. They may differ from the provider’s bill.
• Use token limits for subscription connections. Only API key usage counts toward spending limits.

Step by step

1. 1

   Review current usage

   Open Admin → Usage. Set Group by to Person and choose the date range. Review Answers and Tokens; use Download CSV if you need a copy.

   Add a limit

   Open Admin → AI engines, find Usage limits and select Add limit.

3. 3

   Choose the person and period

   Set Applies to to Person and choose the employee. Set Period to Per month. Enter a Token limit and, for API key costs, a Spending limit (USD).

4. 4

   Choose what happens at the limit

   Under When exceeded, choose Warn only or Block, then Save. A spending limit of 0 means no spending cap. Check the saved person, period and limits.
